Hair & Makeup questions - Spring Lake

Hi,

I'm getting married in Spring Lake - NJ - having a hard time finding anyone local - all of the people I have spoken with (Mandy @ LaSorella, Jeanine M, Jillyan @ SkinBar are all in north jersey).  I'm mainly scared that they will hit traffic and not be able to make it - I'm assuming this is a normal fear.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the Spring Lake area that they will go to the hotel?  Or do you have experience with any of the above having issues getting to you on time (i'm worried about shore traffic- even though it's a sunday at 4).

    What month is the wedding? Maybe tell them to be there an hour earlier than you actually need them to arrive? Jeanine LaMacchia travelled 30 miles to my location and she showed up early, and it was a Friday morning, basically during rush hour...
    Gina Brozon also came from pretty far away and was there early as well.

    I am using Jeanine Mangan, she isn't from North Jersey she lives in Manalapan. I went to her house there for my trial. I believe she does trials in North Jersey but she's not from there. 

    I am also using Mandy and I am not worried at all about her coming to me on the day of. She travels all the time so I am sure she is aware of traffic.

    I used both Mandy and Skin Bar and they both traveled a hour to get to me. Both arrived early. I wouldnt worry about the distance. They are obviously use to traveling all over. BTW I would highly recommend them! Loved my hair and makeup the day of my wedding.

    try the style room in brielle...i think they travel to you...antonio does amazing work...i didn't use him, but wish i did!

    I'm getting married in Pt. Pleasant and having hair and make-up coming to me on Labor Day weekend.  I'm using Jeanine Mangan, who lives in Manalapan for make-up, and Denise from Salon L in Allenhurst for my hair.  Salon L also has a MUA who does airbrush.  I am going to Salon L tomorrow to have my hair and make-up done for engagement pics, so can have more feedback for you after tomorrow.  PM me if you want more info.

    FYI Mandy wanted to charge me a $90 travel fee to come to Pt Pleasant, which is higher than her usual travel fee of $75.

    Glad to hear you booked Jill. She does amazing work!  :)  Definitely look into Mandy for hair!  She did charge me $90 for travel, but it was well worth it!  She really is great at what she does.
