Photographer John Unrue

Ladies,I was wondering what you could tell me about John Unrue. The intimate wedding package we're about to book at the Ritz includes an hour and a half with him but I was wondering if I should consider another option. My venue buddy Gina said he was amazing... anyone else have anything to say about him? Many thanks as always!xjcx

I have not worked with him personally so take my opinion with a grain of salt if you want to, but he is always on the vendor lists of the top venue spots in the orlando area (ie grand bohemian, isleworth country club, orlando country club etc) and has beautiful work and a classic style. looking at his web site, i can see how talented he is. if your budget permits and your reception is longer, can you book more time with him? that would be my only concern- that you don't have him long enough.

Thanks for your advice gorjush. I agree from his website his style does look beautiful. But 1.5 hours is a bit short and I would like it longer ideally. Definately something to enquire about and arrange!xjcx

All I know is that he seems to be one of the best photographers in Orlando and is probably very expensive.  You'll probably love it.

My sister had a small wedding about 25 ppl and the time they allotted for photos wasn't much longer than an hour and a half and they got tons of pictures! I think it depends on the photographer if you have someone who just jumps right in then I think you might be okay. Literally he showed up and took some getting ready shots and then took some of us walking to the ceremony and then shot the ceremony which was about 15mins and then did formals with the family. Then my sis and her H went on a photo walk and took more photos. It wasn't that long but like Unrue he was a super talented photographer and got the job done!

Hmmmm....FI and I had a good old discussion about this last night and I showed him Unrue's style and also that of Damon Tucci who I came across through this process. We both agree that Tucci was more us and since his blog includes a tonne of photos from the Ritz which we love, I feel more confident going with him as he knows the venue really well (at least he seems to from his pics!).We called Tucci last night and they were sure they could be switched into the package instead of Unrue so hopefully that's going to work out. I'm so excited because I've loved his style since I started this while process. As for time, LoLoWedsM that's good to know it can be done in an hour and a half. I might try and get 2 hours in total as I always like to overcompensate a little for timings as things ALWAYS overun especially with me as I'm always late for everything!!xjcx

Thanks Gorjush - we've got a really good deal as we're having an intimate weekday wedding, plus the favorable £ to $ exchange rate helps too!xjcx
