I just read your "lurkers" introduction and was SO EXCITED to see that you love Cole Porter!  I was an opera artist at a festival this past summer and got to sing an entire revue of his songs.  I am obsessed with his repertoire now - such an intelligent and creative man.  What are your favorite songs?:)

    O dear, he is most certainly a genius of melody! I am so glad to hear you are a fan! I am pretty much obsessed with his music. Favorites definitely include:  "Always true to you in my fashion", "Night and Day", "I love you", "You're the Top",  "Let's Do It, Let's Fall In Love" (how can you not love it!?), "Too Darn Hot". Ok I think thats enough haha. That is amazing that you got to sing so much of his music. What are you favorites?

    One of my most FAVORITE songs is Night and Day!  This bass-baritone sang a lovely ballad of it in the revue.  He always made me melt.  :)I have a lot of favorites as well - some of them I got to sing.  I got to sing My Heart Belongs to Daddy, All Through the Night, It Was Just One of Those Things, You Do Something to Me, I've Still Got My Health, and C'est Magnifique.  I got to sing a bunch of others as group numbers.Have you ever heard the fight song he wrote for Yale?  It's called Bulldog.  3 guys sang it in the revue and it was so fun!YAY!!!  :)

    No I havent heard that! I'll have to look it up. Yeah you really can't beat You Do Something To Me. Do you have any recordings of your performance? I would love to hear it! I use to sing in college, I wish I had had a chance to sing Cole Porter then!

    I don't have any recordings of me specifically singing Cole Porter - just opera stuff.  As soon as I record some Porter songs, I'll definitely let you know!  Did you major in voice performance in college?

    no, I minored in it. My life long dream though has always been to be a jazz singer. One day :)
