Sample sale this weekend

Not sure if everyone knows or not but Bridal Extraordinaire is having their sample sale this weekend. I think it starts around 9 or 10 and is at a church in the area. I got lucky there last year and just thought I'd pass along the information. I'm sure the specifics are on their website: http://bridalextraordinaire.com/index.php!

Darce - how was it?! I'm toying with the idea of going "just to look" (already have my dress... I think ;-)) but was kind of concerned about the "rush" the postcard said (ie: doors open @ 7, "rush" @ 9 or something). It made me think of the scene in "Confessions of a Shopaholic" at the designer sample sale where the women went NUTS, only this wouldn't be just women... this would be BRIDES!!!!! ;-P What was your experience there last year? Was it anywhere near as chaotic as I'm envisioning?TIA!

Claire-last year wasn't as bad to start off with as I thought it was going to be. I got there around 7 (with the idea of Klienfield's annual rush in my head) and I was number 2 in line. Most girls didn't start showing up until 1/2 to an hour before. They gave us all numbers and they only let a certain amount of girls down there at a time. Trying on the dresses was pretty hectic because you just have shower curtains up everywhere and a very small space. As girls found dresses, more would come down. It was really fun and a great experience for me and my mom, but I can totally understand why they're moving it to a bigger area this year! I didn't run into any girls being mean or things like that. They had the dresses up in no particular order so it took us a while to get through everything but all the girls I met were really nice! I think if you know what you're looking for and want to get a good dress at a great price...then go! Just know what you're looking for ahead of time...that would have made it so much easier and less time consuming! HTH Claire!
