Job help for him

Ok so I'm up here in KC for med school, and he's in Dallas still.  We're both from Dallas, but he will move up here in February prior to the wedding.  The only problem is he doesn't have a job yet.So I thought about posting on here.  Does anyone know someone with a connection for Graphic design openings in the KC area?If he has a job prior to the wedding that will help make marriage less stressful since I am only living on student loans :)

    My fiance is a graphic designer, also looking for a job, and he's got several friends in the same boat.  There isn't much out there.  He's going to have to hit the pavement pretty hard to get something.  I'd recommend he go to Ad Club and AIGA events, meet some people, talk to designers and creative heads, and just make contacts.  Its probably going to take a bit and a LOT of work.  I would say he needs to start sending some emails out now.The bright side is, things in the design community are looking up as we're coming out of the recession.

    I have a friend who graduated in May with a Graphic Design degree and she's having a really hard time finding a job too. It's all about who you know. Lucky for her, her dad is also one and has a job so she's able to do some Freelance work to get some pay and experience. And like pp, things are looking up. Just stay active and see if he can find Freelance work to do at least. :)

    My friend is a graphic designer. her DH moved to Denver, Co. It took her a year before finding something in her area. My DH has been looking for a job in his degree area for 6 months without any luck. KC's job economy just isn't real great right now. Just keep looking and checking all possibilities and something will come.
