Save the dates?

I am having the hardest time picking a save-the-date!  They all restrict the number of characters you have in there.  I want the save the date to have: picture of us, "save the date", the wedding date, our names, and our wedding website link... I'd like to have "formal invitation to follow" on there but do you think I really need that?  Or do people just assume the card is an STD?  So far I've tried mygatsby and snapfish, they're my favorites.  As well as vistaprint (I wasn't too impressed with their selection) and shutterfly.  Maybe I'm just too picky...  I know there have to be other sites out there but I'm blanking.  Help please!  Where did you all get yours?  THANKS GIRLS!

I used magnetstreet.com for mine.  You can add a card "backing" to hold the magnet and add as much info as you want (like hotel info, websites, etc.). They are not super cheap, but they are very easy to use! (which is why I used them cause I was running out of time and patience!)I think I paid $140 for 100 (magnets, backing cards, and envelopes). Make sure you find a coupon for them if you use them!

I also used magnetstreet.  I included everything you mentioned, I think.  PIB under Paper & DIY.

Yeah, it took a while to upload photos and get the design "just right".  I'm glad I took the time, though.  They came out wonderfully, and we've gotten a lot of compliments on them. :-)

And the price is so much better than what mygatsby quoted me!  They said $120 for the 100 STD's (not magnets) and still another $55 for 100 envelopes!Sunshine- did yours look a little blurry in the demo you can download onto your comp?  The pictures are from our engagement session and I know they're not blurry pictures, but the look a little blurry in downloaded the image (but not online)... weird....

I seem to remember it looked a tad blurry, but don't recall for sure.  I'm at work, so I can't check for you.  Sorry. :-(  Even the pic in my bio seems a little blurry to me, though.  But I assure you they didn't look blurry at all when I got them.

Okay good that's exactly what I wanted to know!  It's probably just the way they look on the computer!!  THANK YOU!  So funny we have the same taste.. I did mine in a very light blue, it just caught my eye first thing!  I didn't look at any others before choosing that one, and I think I LOVE it.  I can't wait to show it to my mom this afternoon.

Magnetstreet has been really fantastic so far for me! Don't worry if something looks a little different on your computer--I had the reverse happen and their customer service is amazing. The colors weren't showing up well against the photo and they called (!) me to discuss what to change within a day of ordering!

Sounds like you might be set, but I got mine from A Giftful Heart online and LOVE them. They look completely professional and were great to work with. Don't remember what they cost but was competitive--maybe 135 for 150 including envelopes?

sunshine (if you're still on here)- my mom is concerned that they wll not be big enough because it says they're 3.5"x4"... which is the biggest size they carry.  We measured it out, and that's definitely probably the average size of a magnet.  But with 4 pictures it seems like they would each be really tiny.  Were your pictures really small?  thanks ruffian, I will check it out!

Hey, sorry I just saw this and it looks like you're gone... Anyway, yeah, they are a bit small, but you'd be surprised how detailed they still are.  You can still see each picture well, and it's not super, duper tiny or anything. When I get home, I'll try to take a pic with my camera of our actual one and post for you.

haha thank you!  that's what I thought, you seemed pretty happy with them!  my mom is being pickier than I am and driving me up a wall.  we created that one on magnetstreet, plus two on weddingpaperdivas and one on agiftfulheart.  hopefully we will be able to come to a consensus!  whose wedding is it anyway?  lol.

Ok. Hopefully my PIP will work... Here is mine with some coins on top to give you an idea of the size of each picture. The quality of the pictures is definitely not as bad as it looks here. My camera just has an auto feature that makes it focus on the coins and blur the background. Annoying, but I haven't figured out how to fix it yet. :-) I hope this helps!
