Name Change

I know it's been asked a million times, but can someone post the order they did the name change in again? Thanks!

Get certified copy of marriage license then: Social Security DMV After that you should be set for whatever else you need to do.

Yup that's the order I did it in. However, DMV didn't even ask for anything from the SS office...I just had to show them my marriage license. I also did my passport right away as well.

I went to Social Security first and then I was able to change all my bank accounts and everything at work.  Fortunately, my company took care of all my benefits, like health insurance, car insurance, 401k, etc.  I actually just changed my license.

yup, i agree. dont forget any professional licenses/certifications, if you work for more than 1 company, all you magazines, credit cards(these all i had to do was tell them, none of them needed any paper info) and see my post below about geico- be warned about telling your car insurance company if you and FI arent sure who youre going with yet
