Videographer

To have or not to have that is the question? I keep going back and forth on this one. Any recommendations? If I do have I want them to film the whole day. Any companies out there brides have used and what are the best prices? Thanks so much. Jaime

I went back and forth onthis for a while also. I finally decided to have a videographer, because although I may not watch it more than a few times I thought  it would be nice to show my children and grandchildren. We're using Jay Kossman of Digital 504, he has very reasonable prices. there are some video samples on his website, but you can also contact him and he will mail you a sample disc.www.digital504.com

We kept waffling on it too. At first I thought I didn't want one because I'm uncomfortable watching myself on video and don't like all that attention. But then we decided to get one because I thought it would be nice to have something to re-watch, instead of pictures which are great but you can just look at them. We are going with Video Memories Forever. It was pretty fortunate, us finding out about them because they have actually filmed a wedding at FI's church AND they have met our pastor :)

I HIGHLY recommend getting a videographer. A friend of ours who is a media teacher at a high school does weddings on the side and did our wedding (he lives out of state, or else I would give you his info) and I couldn't be happier with it. The actual work he did was fantastic, but being able to watch it whenever is better. I love it because I got to see moments I didn't even know/remember, and also it was nice to see everyone who was at the church, because I was not paying attention to that. I think I watch my video more than I look at my pictures!Although videographer's can get pricey, I have never heard somone say after watching their video that they wish they didn't have a videographer.......

I was positive about getting a videographer. I will be able to watch my special day over and over for years to come. I will probably be able to catch some things I may miss on my day also. We are using Red Moments. They have sample video's on their website! HTH! www.redmoments.com

We used Memory Productions to tape our wedding ceremony only and we're really happy with it.  They caught moments that pictures couldn't express ir we couldn't remember from pictures alone.  We're really glad we used them.  www.memory-productions.com

Also, don't feel like you HAVE to have a videographer.  It's truly a personal decision.  Personally, I didn't have one and I don't regret it all - and, now I have some extra cash to spend on my new home.  I remember everything that happened at my wedding and I didn't miss a thing.  I love my pictures and look at them frequently, each bringing back a great memory.  There is certainly nothing wrong with having a videographer, but there's certainly nothing wrong with not having one either.  See if it's in your budget and think about how important it truly is to you.

I wondered on this option also. I decided to get one and VERY glad I did. The guests kept telling me how wonderful our ringbearer and flower girls were and of course I missed all that.  When I was standing at the alter before our vows we had a few seconds while the music was still playing and hubby told me I took his breath away and how beautiful I looked. Since we had the videographer and hubby had mic on those words are captured forever. Plus I was nervous and could not absorb everything in.  I would have regretted if I did NOT get one.

Thinking about video for your wedding? A wedding video is the best way to re-live your big day. The sights, the sounds, and the emotions can be played back for years to come. I have been too many weddings and can tell you that they go by so fast. Before you know it the day is over. My name is Adam Deierling. I am a Hollywood Trained videographer working in the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area with much wedding experience. I would love to talk with you about your wedding. I invite you to check out my website http://www.SaturnEStudios.com. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
