Canadian form of Date?

Hello hello, My fiance says that the correct way to write out a date in Canada is day/month/year...so our STD cards should read 24 July 2010...I think they should say July 24th 2010. Or if we just put numbers, would it be 24.07.10? for the formal invites I will write it out like "twenty-fourth of july, two-thousand and ten..." Any ideas/thoughts? Thanks!

The Canadian/American way is used mostly for the numbers. So we use 26/01/10 rather than 01/26/10. I normally write July 24 2010, but if I was going formal, I'd do what you did.

MY STD I wrote April 30th, 2010. I dont like the way 30 April 2010 looks, so I did it the other way. Did not care about the 'proper' way, people will still know what the date is either way!Do whatever way you like better.

Adding on: I don't think I've ever seen someone write 24 July 2010.
