MSU Chapel brides - last time slot on Saturdays

Hey!  I'm looking for fellow brides who have had the final time slot of the day at the chapel.  I was wondering what time you started your ceremony and a general idea of how that worked out for you (or when you plan on starting is fine too).  I don't want to start it too late, since then dinner ends up really late, but I also don't want people showing up too early and being there before our slot starts.  How early do guests usually arrive, anyway?  It's been a couple of years since I went to a wedding and I can't recall what we did.

DD had the last time slot for her wedding last May.  It actually worked out quite well for us. They did all their pics prior to the wedding to keep dinner at a reasonable time. The wedding was at 6:15 and our guests started arriving at about 5:40 or so.  She was already in the bride room downstairs and out of site by then. Cocktail hour started at 7:15 (Grand Ledge CC) and dinner was served between 8 and 8:15.  They also cut their cake during the cocktail hour so it was served as dessert with the meal. Hope that helps.  We had no problems at all but the key was a good tight schedule!

We had our ceremony at 5:30. It went off really well. Guests got there starting around 5 to 5:15. We served dinner at 7:30 with a cocktail hour that started at 6:30.
