The Graycliff

For all of you lovely ladies that have had, or is having your reception here. What hotel did you use?  or plan on using for the overnight guests?I know the graycliff recommends a few, I would just like some feedback.   Also, when should I call the hotel to reserve the rooms?  I dont know how many people are staying. Thanks chicas =]

I looked around to a few, but the LaQuinta in Secaucus provided the nicest amenities, a reasonable cost ($119) and whole lot more bang for the buck. My guests have a private shuttle to/from the reception, and they're also providing one for the Rehearsal Dinner. Also it's a great hot breakfast and the bridal suite is huge. I loved it!I set it up in July as I have some international relatives coming that needed to get their stays situated. We did have a snafu with the Front Desk not knowing how to set up a reservation under a room block, but it's ok now. The Sales Director is a nice guy, you just have to stay on top of him via email and things to be sure he gets stuff done and answers your questions.

Ok thanks. I was thinking about using the Hampton Inn.  I think just because it was cheaper than the rest.  I havent really looked into it yet. Thanks for the input!! =]

I took a walk through at the Hampton Inn... It is definitely not as nice as the LaQuinta and on a very industrial road all by itself. The parking was not covered (outdoors) and my wedding being in February I did not want to risk a messy parking lot situation for the guests. The price is definitely cheaper and if you just want a place to stay/roof over your head then it suits just fine. But we were not impressed, especially when comparing it to how nice the LaQuinta is.

I used the Hampton and was extremely happy with them -- we knew we wouldn't have a ton of people staying and they were very accomodating for us. They let my husband and our entire bridal party check into the rooms early in the morning (rather than the regular 3:00 check in) and we had use of their shuttle all day the day of the wedding. We were told if we booked 10 rooms they would give us our room for free or a jacuzzi suite for $90. We ended up only having 5 rooms books and they gave us the jacuzzi suite at no charge!!

We are using the Hampton Inn! We looked at both The Hampton and La Quinta! We liked the Hampton Inn because they allow you to use the downstairs lobby for an after party! A friend of a friend used it and said it was great.....they partied till late/early morning and were never bothered. They set up a bar and had food brought in for the after hours! Sounds great to me...and it's only $99!

We liked the bar at La Quinta but decided not to let it decide our hotel bc our reception isn't over till 12:30am....so by the time everyone gets back and changes and stuff it will be almost time to close the bar (2am)! The Hampton in also includes a shuttle to and from the reception....I forgot to include that earlier!WOOHOO for after parties!
