makeup prices and recommendations

Looking for someone in Charlotte to do my makeup and bridesmaids makeup.  I got a quote for myself and it was $175 with airbrush, lashes and touch up kit and $65 for bridesmaids.
Is that a good price?
I'm open to recommendations!

Re: makeup prices and recommendations

  • I think those prices sound good for makeup for you!  Only one of my girls is getting makeup along with her hair so it's $100 for both services for her.  If I were a bridesmaid I probably wouldn't pay $65 on top of hair costs and would opt to do my own, but that is just me.
  • I'm a CLT bride as well... I'm getting my hair AND makeup done for $250, bridesmaids hair and makeup I think is $125... it's the same person if you are still looking her companies name is "Who's the Fairest"

I'm a Mary Kay consultant. If your purchase your products the rehearsal and wedding day makeover will be free. I can promise you, you and your bridemaids will save a ton of money.
  • I would suggest do a free make up trial with a Mary Kay consultant...let them make the best suggestions for you and then they may even be able to do your make up day of or, set you up with one of their directors who does wedding day make up.  Typically instead of charging a fee for the service..they charge for the products used and then you get to keep the products...
Just a suggestion as Mary Kay has a great line of make ups that last through the day....and if the day runs long...what wedding day doesn't, you can have your touch up make up at your finger tips....The Mary Kay consultant may also be able to teach you and your bridesmaids how to accomplish your wedding look or at least your touch ups so you are never in danger of a poor picture from a shiny face or anything.

    I suggest www.MaryKay.com/Kgeneral

I decided to go with Adrian D. Howe for make-up and Larry Webb for hair.  Both are out of Salon Vivace in South Charlotte but I found Adrian from her website...
http://adriandhowe.com/ ($175 for trial and day of makeup w/airbrush, lashes&touch up kit)
http://www.salonvivace.com/ (free consultation & $60 for hair day of)
