wtf gmail???

I have my old gmail account set up to forward to my new, married name one. Occasionally I'll go over and clean out the mailboxes because it just forwards a copy.I tried to log in and it told me my account is disabled and I may or may not be able to get it back.WTF????? I have important shiit on there and I didn't break the terms of service!! If I can't get it back, I'm going to be LIVID.

You should be able to contact them and have them un-disable it. Reable it? WHatever. My brain hurts.

Enable?I filled out the form, but it didn't seem too helpful. It said "what were you doing when it disabled your account" and I said I just went to log in and got that message. When I hit submit, there was some non committal message about how they may or may not be able to fix it. Fuuckers.

No, I just set up my messages to forward. A few months ago, someone hacked into my account and sent all this Craigs List spam. I changed my password and deleted all the emails (thousands) and called it a day. Didn't know I had to contact them to let them know what happened.

Did you get the impression it was intentionally disabled, like do to inactivity, or a glitch? If they would just disable it due to inactivity without notifying you, that is really awful!Also, just curious, how many people changed their email address when they got married? So far I've kept the same one with my maiden name.

I don't know if they do that just because of inactivity. I mean, I've had tons of stuff forwarded from there, but hadn't logged in for a few weeks. But it had been a long time before my previous log in, so I don't think it's an inactivity thing.My password didn't go through and it said to type in my username to see if it's active or disabled.
