Ceremony Site - Sunnyside

Hi Ladies! My seemingly never-ending search for the perfect ceremony site continues! I think we are going to go ahead with Sunnyside Pavillion, in the lower courtyard. They only rent the upper part if you are doing your reception there too, which we are not...I was just wondering if anyone has been to an event here or has any thoughts on the subject? I like it because it is unique and right on the water, but I am a little concerned it might not be as private as I would ideally want. If anyone has had any experience at all with this venue your thoughts would be appreciated!!!! Thanks!

I'd never heard of it before, but the pics on their website look so pretty! Where will your reception be?

We're having our reception at the Royal York, in the Imperial Room! I think I am going to plan the ceremony right at the hotel - it seems so much easier to have everyone just go downstairs. Sunnyside was really pretty, but they only let you rent out the top part if you are doing your reception there too! I feel like I did the whole reception/ceremony booking thing backwards lol!

Well - I'm glad you got it all figured out. There are so many beautiful rooms at the Royal York and they are really flexible reserving them, it seems. It will be so good for guests to be in once place as well! I'm having my reception there as well, and I mentioned to my consultant that we may want to have a small brunch with family the following day, just our immediate family and wedding party, and she suggested a room and reserved it right then and there, just in case.

I agree, the ladies at the Fairmont are soooo nice and so accommodating! I am thinking doing the brunch as well, but my FI isn't too keen on it! He wants to hit Hawaii the second we say I Do lol! I feel like the $35 per person for the brunch is a little steep, but I guess you just invite the really close family...

That sounds lovely. I did an e-shoot near their and it turned out great. in TOronto it's hard to find privacy anywhere. :) Just stay relaxed and I'm sure it will be great.
