post wedding stories..

I felt like we were gone on our HM so long that we missed all the fun stories, so now we are slowly hearing them all. Especially since most stories are kept from the bride so that there is no panicking. Our arch wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be and my FIL had to go pick it up with his truck (it was really heavy) and it got there an hour before the ceremony, so I thought that was the only big "thing" that happened. But THIS WEEK, almost three months after the wedding, I heard that my Dad got into a car accident the DAY OF the wedding! I guess he was so nervous about everything that he rear ended someone. We were gone for two weeks so I never saw his car damaged and it was replaced by the time we got home. So weird. Did anyone else hear any crazy stories way after the wedding?

Most of the stories we heard after the wedding were drunk stories from guests but I guess thats what happens when you have an open bar. I did hear from the coordinator at Kimberly Crest that our wedding was her favorite wedding she had done in years so that made me feel really good. You put so much time and effort into creating the perfect day and to hear that kind of feedback made it sooo worth it. We did not have a cake topper because I loved our cake as is. Well, I guess my MIL did not agree with that and thought she was "helping" by taking some of the flowers and sticking them into the top of my poor cake. I know she meant well but when we walked in I looked at the cake and thought what the heck?!

Bahahahaha that made me laugh out loud. That's terrible! I love hearing stuff like that too. It really means so much more since we put all of our time and energy into the wedding and tied every last detail by ourselves. Feels real good to hear those compliments.

All of our stories were during the day and I knew about all of them. I get upset just thinking about some of them. Though, I totally forgot that someone's cell phone went off when I was saying my vows until I saw the wedding video. My look was priceless.

We haven't seen our video yet. During the ceremony, our Pastor was mentioned our first date and how DH was on the phone (he's always on the phone for business or something or another) and after we walked out of the ceremony his cell phone RANG. I was so mad, but he is so lucky it didn't go off any earlier. It was the photobooth guy calling from the reception and he swears he just had it on because of the arch debacle.

Oh man Jojo!  My hubby has his phone permanently attached to his ear as well because of his business.  I told him that he had better leave his phone in the room during the ceremony. During our ceremony our pastor said that we had decided to write our own vows, which we never wrote.  I just looked at her and started laughing and she was so professional about it and the crowd was laughing. =)  She just said, "Ok, I guess they changed their minds" and flipped the page and went with the ones that I had chosen from the beginning.

The DJ started replaying the FG's music for my turn to walk down the aisle.  I freaked out but then he eventually changed it to my song.  My cake cutting set mysteriously disappeared when it was time to cut the cake but the reappeared when we were cleaning up on the cake table.  The lady said it was there the whole time.  I called BS on that one.I forgot the pocket squares for the GMs.  Not cool.  That's all I can think of.  Nothing happened after that I know of.
