Tipping vendors??

Hi Ladies,Quick question - which vendors do you tip/do you not tip? What is appropriate?Also, for those that have taken engagement photos, did you tip after the session, or are you planning on tipping the photographer after the wedding?

We didnt tip our photog after epics and dont intend to tip her at the wedding since she owns her own business. I think if she was a photog with a company we would have probably tipped her. Tipping amounts vary depending on service provided. But I think it's basically at least 10 percent. I think theknot.com has an article on tipping ettiquette. We're tipping: -the catering staff -the bar staff -the jazz trio -the officiant (VA charges a nominal fee so we feel the least we could do is tip her) We're are not tipping: (however we will be giving them a bottle of wine from the winery) -DJ since she owns her own company -DOC I heard you don't tip them -the florist -the baker

Generally, you don't need tip people who own their own business. If the person works for a larger company, it's more expected to tip them. Although, you can tip whomever you want.

I tipped- waitstaff, dj, officiant, limo driver, DOC, hair and makeup.... I think its all up to what you think is best.. and who you think did a great job... I gave great reviews too and my vendors thanked me for that even more than the money
