We booked our park venue back in February and we finally got a chance to actually get a tour of the facility last week. There are plenty of pictures on-line (which is how we decided to book it in the first place) but we were kind of in the dark as to how it was going to be set up on the day of. We couldn't even go to the park on our own because it's not open to the public. So we got in touch with the guy at the county park commission and he was more than willing to oblige us and gave us a tour!
Like I said, the park not open to the public, and we are the ONLY event scheduled so far on our date, whoo! It sits on 64 acres and has a ton of space for pictures and games - and boy do we plan on having games! We will basically have the entire place to ourselves from 9am until 6pm.
The tent that is going to be set up can fit 300 people, so we are not concerned about making sure there is enough space for the 90 or so we are expecting. We are planning on doing both the ceremony and the reception under the tent. There are electricial hook ups for our music and for the caterers if the need it.
We took this tour just as the park people were getting ready to do a "spring clean-up". Therefore, the lawns hadn't been mowed and fallen branches weren't cleaned up. So you'll kind of have to use your imagination.

So, there you go! As you can see, it's a HUGE space, and that's only a small portion of the pictures (our friend who was taking pictures took about 50). It's going to be tons of fun, we're going to get so many lawn games and there are going to be so many great pictures!
