And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     I have a UTI.  I started the antibiotics today.The week didn't slow down at all.  I left yesterday about 45 minutes early when I found out how poorly my grandfather was doing.  At about 2:30 this morning my mom called to let me know he had died about 10 minutes earlier.  It's been difficult.  I've been crying on and off since I before I left work yesterday.

    Oh sweet girl, I'm so sorry to hear that. This just hasn't been your day. I don't even know what to say. Was he sick?

    Yeah.  He had lung cancer.  They took him of life support about 13 hours before he died.My uncle wasn't handling it well, so they were kind of hoping I would go tell my aunt.  They didn't want her to be alone when she found out.  I started bawling when they asked me so my mom ended up calling her to let her know.They took his body today to be cremated.  They should have his ashes back on Tuesday.  My cousin is in the army and is stationed in Korea, so the funeral will be on Thursday if he can get leave, and Wednesday if he can't.

    I'm so sorry. Cancer is such a nasty disease. My mom had lung cancer in 2007 and it was a nightmare. You seem to be handling it well. Do you want to talk about it or would you rather I changed the subject and cheered you up?

    I honestly don't know what I want right now.  He's the first person that I was close to who died, so I'm actually taking it really hard.  My natural defense mechanism is to pretend everything is okay.  It's kind of like if I tell myself that enough it will be true.
