  There is a good size Sephora over there. I use the H&M, Old Navy and Macys a lot on 34th. Otherwise mostly touristy, I tend to stay away from that area.

  Sephora is a danger zone for me   I would love to go the the village, but we were thinking about going to Johnny Utahs for Happy hour

  In those areas, it is mostly super congested chain stores that you could find in any mall.If you go down to the union square area, it is mostly the same except they're less crowded and therefore less rage blackout-inducing?`My suggestion would be to leave that area

  It is really easy to get to Johnny Utah's from the Village -- 3 stops on the B/D from West 4th. Why were you thinking Johnny Utah's?  There are lots of fun places in the Village...

  It's me and my little cousin,  She just suggested in.  I am totally open for suggestions.  If you could go to one place (haha , I realize thats rediculous in NY) where would you go?  Area / early evening hang out.  Cute, funky shops etc.

  I'd go to any part of the Village (east, NYU area, or west).  If you were thinking of Johnny Utah's, Cowgirl Hall of Fame, Slaughtered Lamb, or Down the Hatch may fit the bill... they're all kind of divey but kitschy.
