Coronado Community Center

I am getting married there on 9-6-10. I am looking for vendors that other brides have had good luck with, that are also approved, and don't cost a fortune. I would prefer vendors who are good with phone and e-mail, as I am planning the wedding from Denver.Thanks!-Jenn

I'm still figuring out details myself, so I don't have a lot of vendor recommendations just yet. We've been talking with Ranch Catering, and our contact their, Julie, has been very helpful. They may end up being over our budget, but they are very nice and we've dealt with them completely over the phone and in email. I've heard some great things about the community center, we're still looking for our reception site (wedding isn't until April 2011, so we have time) I'd love any details or information you could give me with your experience so far with the community center.

Jeanatte is my contact with them. She has been AWESOME!! I had a LOT of questions, and she answered all of them for me right away. I love Coronado, but the Del was simply out of my price point. They have been very good about getting me all the paperwork and staying in touch.

We're going to do our tastings soon and we definitely are trying to stick to our budget, so as our wedding date approaches, I can definitely give you the heads up on the vendors we're working with (and those we decide not to work with=).  And, just curious (as I actually just created a post today on help with "Outdoor Ceremony Ideas") - do you know how you're going to make your grand entrance/and where will you be coming from (the building, or straight out of a limo or something/somewhere else)?  We were looking at getting married at the park that's closeby there, and that's one thing i'm concerned about.

We are having the ceremony in the park area. The whole wedding will have a pacific feel, since I spent a great deal of my life living in Hawaii. I am going to most likely make my entrance from the CCC it's self. I am going to be using "I Love you" composed by Tyler Bates as the song.

My biggest expense is my venue which my parents agreed to pay for everything else is put on me and hubby to be so we've been searching for quality vendors with in a lower price range here's who we've hired I'm super excited to work with all of them and have heard nothing but good things from previous clients. JMC Event Services jmcevents.com our DJ Joe Comstock We actually just meet him this morning and are super excited he seems really professional and I'm confident everyone will have a good time with him picking the songs. His wife is also a wedding planner but their expecting their first child in a few weeks so they're trying not to take work for her right now though my wedding is in March since yours is further off they might be up for it which could come in handy with long distance planning. Photographer Alexander Oats Alexoat.com She actually lived and worked in Hawaii a few years ago as a wedding photographer. (my fiance is Hapa-houwle his family has a house in Kona so thats how it came up) Her work is beautiful and she is priced well below what other photographers we met with in the area are charging. Me and FI actually discussed in the car ride home after meeting her that we think she should be charging more then she does but my budget is happy she doesn't. Also she gives you a USB with all of the photos she's taken which was a must have option for me. Officiant Bethel Nathan www.ceremoniesbybethel.com She's is all about taking your vision and requests to make your ceremony unique to you as a couple though she does give you homework so that she can do so and she helps you figure out what to say in your vows. Something else I love that she does is have you and your fiance write letters to each other a few days before the big day and then sends the letters to you on your one year anniversary. Flowers www.flowersandsupplies.com I'm using wholesale flowers because they don't charge set up or delivery but I'm not sure how they are phone and email wise since I just called and went to meet them in person. Anyways congrats and happy planning.

Have you found your caterer already?  That's the point that we're at and we'd love to hear any recommendations.  Your photographer's site looks great, btw!

Hi Jenn! My fiance and I are having our reception at the CCC in January! The caterer we chose was Anything But Ordinary Catering. We did tastings with 4 of the caterers from the CCC list of approved caterers and we felt that ABO had the best food. We also tasted with Peartrees, and were extremely close to choosing them. Tricia from Peartrees seemed like she would be so great to work with, but we weren't as impressed with their food. ABO is OK with phone and email, it might take a day or two to get a response, but I always get one. Tricia with Peartrees was excellent, she would reply by email the same day or next day. We also tasted with Personal Touch, who was very good about emailing. Tracy with Personal Touch seemed very organized and professional also.Hope that helps! Good luck!BTW, my fiance and I took a trip to Denver in August! Loved it, great city!
