Chase Court?? Has Anyone been married there?

Hi guys... I came across Chase Court for a wedding venue and was wondering if anyone has been married there or checked it out in person yet? I'm really interested in the place by the looks of their website and plan to contact the guy this week.

We looked at Chase Court. We liked it, it actually ended up being our 2nd choice. It's very pretty and the garden outside would be great for the ceremony. The ballroom is a decent size, but the place is pretty small overall. We decided against it mainly because we found another place we loved to death (the Cloisters). But our other concerns were that if it rained and we had to hold the ceremony inside, there would be very little space for our guests to be while the ballroom was reset for the reception (we were expecting 80 guests). Also, tables and chairs were not included so we would have had to rent them. And lastly, we were worried about parking given the downtown location. All of that said, it was lovely and like I said, it was our 2nd choice.Good luck in your search!

There is someone who is on TheNest who got married there two years ago I believe.  I'll try to get ahold of her and see if she can give you more details - I do believe she had a great experience with them.

Don't want to be negative as I looked at the place too, but dancing is important to me and the columns there seem to be in the way there..especially to people sitting down and wishing to watch 1st dance of those on the dance floor.  I do love it though..thought it was beautiful :)

We also looked into Chase, and yes, it is a very beautiful venue! But for much the same reasons as pp, we opted not to go with them:1. Small space, particularly for dancing2. Lovely garden, but best for very small ceremonies3. The need to bring in everything for the reception4. Parking/Concerns with the downtown area in general (safety, for example)We found the price was actually very reasonable. And that would not make it too bad that you need to bring in everything else. All in all, if a lovely, city themed feel is what you're going for, Chase would be a great option. Good luck!

I got married at Chase Court 2 years ago Wednesday. We loved it. Some people do find that David, the owner/manager, is a bit too much but I liked him. He was very helpful and gave us our space. The important thing to remember with him is that he doesn't only run it but he owns it and that's why he might seem overbearing to some. Chase Court is great but it's better suited with a smaller amount of guests. Dancing worked fine for us with 75 guests. You do need to bring in tables and chairs for the reception but our caterer did that and it was part of our overall cost.  The safety was not a concern for us. Our guests all found free parking less than a block away from the wedding. It is a beautiful place and if you get married outside, it's hard to remember that it's in the middle of the city. It is also beautiful in the ballroom and upstairs in the bride's room. It also has a very nice staircase. As soon as I stepped inside, I knew I wanted to be married there. In case anyone is wondering, I am not a vendor. Our experience was just really that good :)If you have any other questions, you can email me: kaybee44nest@gmail.com

We're having our wedding there this coming Saturday.  Because of the size, we opted to have our reception elsewhere, and so some of the concerns that other knotties have posted did not really apply for us.  Ultimatelty we decided on it because it looks church-like without being an actual church (our ceremony is very simple).  If you want, email your email address and I can let you know how it all went when it's over! akolos1 at jhmi dot edu Amie
