Bice Ristorante at Portofino Bay Hotel

Hi Guys,I've been thinking twice about having our reception dinner at Normans at The Ritz Carlton. Although it looks lovely and would be the most convenient option, I want to explore other options. What's Bice Ristorante at Portofino Bay Hotel like? The function space looks lovely and would be great for a party of 20 - I just wondered what experience you guys had had there?xjcx

hey there!I actually went there for a site tour in April... The staff is very nice and the private rooms are attractive and spacious as well. Their prices are much lower than Norman's. Actually, if you go this route The Portofino Bay actually has an intimate weddings package that you may be interested in. They have 3 or 4 different ceremony areas (2 gazebos to choose from). It's actually a very pretty and picturesque hotel, you would be right next to Universal Studios. Hope this helps!

been there a couple of times - it was good food and the service was also good.  Very nice dining room.in the summer, across the courtyard, they have singers on the balcony.  that would make a neat addition to your reception if the timing worked out.

Hey Gina,We wouldn't have the ceremony there as I'm totally 100% set on the RC gazebo, it's just the reception I'm thinking twice about and I'd organise transport to the reception. I see it was a lot cheaper than Norman's which is one of the things attracting me to it. Also I just like the look of Bice and I love Italian food so it might warrant a closer look. I was also wondering if anyone had eaten there and if so what was the food like? Thanks!

I saw somewhere in my paperwork that you can only have your ceremony on property if you have your reception on property so make sure to double check with the Ritz before making any final decisions! Just a heads up.
