  We sent our out so our guests got them 2 mos ahead of time. Basically I think we sent them 9 weeks out. It is a little early, but our RSVP date was 4 weeks before the ceremony because that was when our hotel block expired.

  We sent ours out 10 weeks before. We moved the date up 6 months (from 5/10 to 11/09) and didn't send save the dates. Also ours is the weekend before Thanksgiving, so we wanted to give everyone time to make plans. If you sent save the dates than 6-8 weeks is plenty.

  I have heard 10-6 weeks is reasonable.  I am sending them out 10 weeks mainly because 80% of our guest list is from OOT.

  We did 6 weeks out. Everyone said yes except those that had mobility issues, so 6 weeks is fine.

  we sent ours out 2 months in advance.... still didnt get rsvps back until the week before the wedding but most people got them back in time...

  Thanks! I was thinking 2 months out is just about right. We sent out STDs but we have a bunch in international folks and I want to make sure they get their invite in a timely matter and have time to mail it back.
