Call Mike Winship, he can generally work with any budget. I don't have his number, but Google him and it will come up. FWIW I'm not using him just because I liked Cru a little better, but Mike's food was pretty fantastic. HTH!

First, you might want to make sure that they allow outside catering. A lot of places don't. Second, the only way to really cut down on costs is to limit your guest list. When you start skimping on food, the quality is going to suffer. What I mean by that is someone who is going to cost you $9 a head is likely serving crappy/at least underwhelming food. What are you trying to serve? Are you trying to serve lobster to 150 people for less than $1,000? If you can give me more info, I might be able to help you brainstorm on ways to cut costs.

CRU is really good I would also call rita's, the porch, center street kitchen people (they are owned by the same people) they are really good, have great prices and are easy to work with...

I actually got married at Magnolia Plantation this past April. I went with Regal Catering - they have an amazing staff, and amazing food. They helped cut down the cost as well! Ask for Michelle! They really are the best!

I too had Regal Catering... I didn't married at Magnolia, but they do so much for their price range. They should really charge more.
