Hello fellow Knotties - it has been just over 3 weeks since our wedding and thought that I would give an update on our vendors. We had about 47 guests - the venue only held 50. Venue - Casa de Koshare bed and breakfast - Corrales NM (A) - We rented the facility for the entire weekend - it was nice to have a place for all of us to stay and visit prior to the big day. Unfortunately the owners wife had a family emergency and was not there to help out, however the owner, John (who also was our officiant) was WONDERFUL. He let us basically have the run of the house. The facility rented the tables and chairs and helped coordinate on site. I give them an A! Food - Blue Plate Special -- (A+) -- I had only heard good things about them, and did not ever have a tasting, so when the food came out and it was as good as it was, I was very relieved and astonished. We had a traditional "New Mexican" meal, green chile chicken enchiladas, red chile cheese, posole, mesquite pork tacos and all of the fixings... the staff (Vicki was the coordinator and Jessi was the onsite lead wait staff) was fantastic too! Photographer - Jody Cooper Photography -- (A+++) -- I can't say enough about Jody -- I researched photographers and found that she was not the cheapest, however she was no where near the highest (I couldn't believe that some were charging in excess of $2000). I actually found her on craigslist, but her work is amazing... I will continue to use her for our family portraits.
www.jodycooperphotography.com She is worth EVERY penny -- and compared to others she is very affordable! Flowers - Roses of Royce - (A) - I was really undecided for what I wanted for flowers - I wanted to do it myself at one point and then decided against it after I found Shelli. She was fantastic and the flowers were wonderful for relatively inexpensive -- she also gave me a free bouquet for my guest table, because I wasn't doing a throw. Overall it was a FANTASTIC day and the weather was PERFECT!!!
