Walkirk Estate

Has anyone gotten married here or been to a wedding here?  They recently renovated and I am very interested.  Anyone have any thoughts?

I live down the street from Falkirk.  The place is beautiful inside and out.  However, I felt like they nickel and dimed you for everything.

I also live right near Falkirk. I visited them when deciding where to get married. They recently redid the entire venue and it's just gorgeous. However, they are equipped to have two weddings at once, so if you don't want to share your venue with someone else it may not be the place for you...

    p.s. Their food is AMAZING!

We looked there as well and it is VERY overpriced. After doing a site, I had called and left 2 messages, as well as emailed them with some questions, etc and to this day no one ever got back to me. That's just bad business. It didn't make me feel good about how an event would go. I also didn't like that something else could be going on downstairs at the same time.

This exactly! We ended up choosing a more expensive venue, but we feel like we are getting more for what we are paying.

We looked at numerous placed in Orange, Rockland and Dutchess County and met with Jennfer at the Falkirk Estate, we got a great tour and she was very informative, spent about an hour of time with us and even provided us with some great ideas for my reception.  I am looking at a Saturday evening in May next year and they offered us a great price considering their memu is amazing, the menu is so easy to follow, they offer one menu with tons of options included in the price per person where most places nickel and dime you with upgrade after upgrade which was frustrating.  The venue is gorgeous and NEW! and surpassed any other venues we looked at.  Considering Falkirk (not Walkirk) as our venue.   Will keep you posted as we are excited to secure a wedding date!
