I cried over milk (just a long vent)

I woke up early and went to the store.  DH is working late so I wanted to give him the car.  I forgot it was Tuesday AM.  Meaning, the shelves are bare.  I had to go to 2 stores just to get simple things like eggs and ham.  One store was out of eggs and milk. Fine, I got everything I could and went to the next store.  I was going to get ham, but decided it's cheaper at the other store. The new store was out of ham and only had skim milk.  Fine, I got the skim milk, eggs and went back to the other store for the ham.I get home and surprise DH with CocoPuffs. Yes, very bad of me, I should have gotten something healtheir, but he does not eat them very often.  Anyway,  he comes to watch me pour the milk into the bowl and he says "STOP". I can't drink skim milk.  I started to cry.  Seriously, I cried because he would not eat the damm Cocopuffs I bought him.  What is wrong with me?Anyone one else cry over something stupid?

  • I cried because I was so frustrated this morning stuck in bumper to bumper traffic that made me 45 minutes late.  Why so much traffic? Because of sun glare.  Buy some effin sunglasses AM commuters!

  • I cry over stupid stuff all the time if I get frustrated/upset enough. Can he drink other kinds of milk other than skim?
  • I cried on Sunday before FI left to go back to school.  I am usually fine when he leaves for the week, but I knew I wouldn't see him till Thanksgiving this time and I was sad.  Lame.
  • That sucks, lynda. I hate when you go to do something nice for someone and it just blows up in your face. I've felt like crying on many occasions lately. Here's to a better day, my love.
  • why can't he drink skim milk?  I would have told him he wasn't drinking it.  He eats it with a spoon.  Makes all the difference!

  • Anyone one else cry over something stupid? All the time, actually more like once a month, pre-AF. Once at work in front of my boss (a real low point).I'm sorry you're all stressed out. Try & pamper yourself today if you can (I like taking a bath or getting a pedicure when I feel awful).
  • Oh, and I almost cried sunday night because I couldn't find a parking space.
  • I cried on my way home from Wal-Mart last night because I almost hit a deer.

often grab and refuse to let go of is your heart

  • It's my last day of vacation.  A vacation in which DH had to work everyday until late and it rained just enough for me not to go to the beach.  (if I was a tourist I would have). I've been pretty domestic today.  Grocery store, homemade mini-meatballs in the crock-pot, cleaning, laundry and soon I'm making cupcakes.

  • I have know idea.  He claims he has been this way since childhood.  He says it makes him gag.  I normally buy 2%, so I guess it's never come up.  If it was anyone else I would say they would not know the difference.  Since he is a chef it does not work that way .

I can't drink skim milk.I'd probably have cried, too.  It's a crappy feeling when you attempt to surprise someone with something that'll put a smile on their face, and for whatever reason they're less than enthused.
  • Sounds to me like your husband is just picky! Put the skim milk in a 2% container while hes at work, and see if he notices.
  • why can't he drink skim milk?  Is it that he can't or he won't?  If it's the later he could have sucked it up for one bowl of ceral.

  • I once cried when our server at IHOP took a table's drink order first and they clearly sat down after us. I was pregnant and slightly BSC from hormones, apparently! Tell him to bring 2% milk home and you can have coco puffs for dinner with him.
  • I cried like a 7 year old at the dentist yesterday morning. I got a cavity filled. Except it was so bad that I might have to get a root canal - and he couldn't get enough freezing in me, so I could feel it. I cried, the whole time, like a baby.

  • That damm 1/2 gallon of skim milk cost $3.99.  At least I will use it for the cupcakes.

  • I'm actually with your DH.  Skim makes me gag as well and you could never fool me by putting it into a 2% container.  It has a watery consistency and tastes like someone added water to it.  Now I can however drink Skim-plus which has been made to have the texture of 2% milk so I drink that instead.
