Grooms Women Flowers....

So, I have never been to a wedding with women on the groom side, but my FI has 2 women on his 5 person WP side. Have you ever been to a wedding with women on the grooms side? These women are important to him and he wants them on his side so they can't just be moved to my side. My question is what would you do or have you seen or have you done as far as flowers are concerned for them? His "groomswomen" are wearing plain black dresses to go with the black tux that he and his groomsmen will be wearing. The men will be wearing bouts, do you think the women should wear them too or wrist corsages or carry bouquets? He was wanting them to carry a single flower. I'm just torn since I've never seen this before so I dont know whats appropriate for this situation. Thanks for your help!

    Honestly, it doesn't matter one bit.  If your FI wants them to carry a single flower, then have them carry a single flower.

    id say yes to the flowers.also I think it would be cute if they wore a sash the color of your bm dresses. we might do this with fi's sisters.

    Actually its really cool (at least I think) because my BMs are wearing white and black dresses, his girls are wearing black with a white sash, and of cours the tuxes will be black and white with black ties. I'm wearing a green dress(wasabi/kiwi-ish color) and FI will be wearing a a matching tie and vest. I want them to have flowers of some sort of course, I just didnt know if they should wear a corsage or bout or if they could carry flowers. Guess it is just up to what we want. Thanks for the input! :)

    My SIL stood up on my husbands side.  I had a bouquet made for her just like my bridesmaids.  She also wore the same dress as my bridesmaids, but in black.  I thought it looked fine.

    I would do a bouquet just like you are having for your BM's. They are essentially Groom's Maids ;)

    Usually everyone on a side matches. That is, each BM carries the same bouquet on the brides side, and each groom's attendant wears the same bout - although you could have a ribbon added to the female groom's attendant's flower. However, since your Fi has a preference, go with that.

    We had a groomsmaid and I made her a bouquet to match my bridesmaids. I think they are not any less girly because they are on the groom's side and they'll appreciate a pretty bouquet to carry.

    Why not ask them ? Pin on corsage would be my default since equivalent to male bouts bouquets to me look odd on the guys side.

    I agree with Stage- I hate wearing pin on corsages. They make me feel like an old women. And they never stay on well, they get in the way, and they're not as pretty as being able to carry a bouquet.

    If you have the Groomswomen in black dressed to match the tuxes, then I think the flowers should more closely match the GM's bouts, to differenitate them from the BMs. I would do small pin on corsages, essentially a bout. I don't like big corsages anyway. Smaller ones are so much easier to manage.
