Free Calligraphy Addressing

I'm new to this, so I hope I'm doing this right. I saw a booth at the Great American Bridal Show (?) at the Tampa Convention Center a few weeks back. Her booth was really crowded, but I thought I heard her say that she did free computer envelope addressing and escort cards when you order wedding invitations from her website. I called her to make sure and she said that was correct --- and if I ordered from anyone else, she charged a small amount to do them. I did order my invitations from her and she just did everything for me. I had the invitations shipped to her and she addressed the outside and inner envelopes, folded the enclosures, stuffed them, put stamps on them and even took them to the post office for me and I didn't pay anything extra - just the price that was in the invitation book (I double checked the prices at Party City). I'm not from around here, but if that's the way you do things in Tampa, I'm really going to like it here! By the end of this process, I felt like she was an old friend. She did a sample for me and said she's on the preferred vendor list at The Write Stuff and The Rusty Pelican. Her website is www.tampacalligraphy.com. I highly recommend!

Hello, Welcome to the boards.  We've had a problem with vendors posting, specifically this vendor... and I think this might be the case.  If I am wrong, I'm sorry. However, I'm concerned that your wedding isn't until June 2010 and you've already sent invites.  This doesn't make sense. Please know, vendors are not allowed to post on this board. Please stop posting as a vendor.Again, if you are new to this board please create a different post and introduce yourself. Thanks.

These vendors are pretty pathetic. I don't know if they realize it, but it only makes people not want to use their services.

We have to actually give then an opportunity to reply though Ang. This vendor actually complained to knot Anni (as a bride of course) that her post was deleted for no reason.

You know, I was actually going to use this vendor, until I found out she was posting as a bride.  Such a turn off.

    Very much so!

I'm actually going to use my sister who has beautiful writing.  I didn't want to ask her because she is so busy with work, but after my melt down with having to pay to reprint inserts, I asked her and she agreed.I actually sent her examples of Calligraphy by Carrie's work and want her to replicate one of her styles.... for FREE.

Actually, the vendor asked me NOT to post here. The last person who posted here was deleted. I was told the bride actually was in contact with Knot Annie and proved who she was, giving her name, business name, address, fax, and email address. Please email Knot Annie and ask if this is true. I am a real bride and I wanted to get these done before I go into private practice.

I dealt with Diane for 2 weeks with ordering my invites and dealing with proofs and she told me the story and asked me not to post on here. I see above that Mrs. CPH thinks Diane faked being the bride and contacted The Knot. I don't know where people come up with this silliness. I am so sorry I did this and I can only apologize for not taking Diane's advice on this. She is so upset. If you ever met this woman, you'd know she'd never do that. True I've only known her for a couple of weeks, but she's genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met.

We'd love to hear about your wedding. Most brides don't ship the invites 8 months before their actual wedding.  Maybe Save the Dates... but not actual invites as your post suggests.  Why did you ship them so early?

I was going to say none of your business, but my momma raised me better than that. My FH and I both have family members and friends who are MDs and attorneys and they arrange their schedules months ahead of time. Instead of doing 2 mailings, I decided to spend it all on one nice invitation. This is my last post on here. I never realized I'd be stirring up such a hornet's nest.

Hey no hard feelings.  I understand about scheduling months in advance.  There are many lawyers on this board who will probably understand as well. This board is very personal; sorry for being so nosy.  Good luck on your planning... it sounds like you are WAY ahead of your game!  Very impressive.  What kind of surgeon are you? I don't think we have a surgeon WCF knottie.  You are the first.

this woman is clearly the vendor! what a weirdo...it's so obvious from her posting, now "she's offended" and not going to post anymore, so convenient!
