FI and I are trying to decide on a venue-I know, it's still forever away, but one of the places we're considering books crazy fast. I just started a guest list, trying to figure out about how many people we'd be expecting. I'm at 55...and that's just my side of the family, with first cousins. I have a sinking feeling that we're not going to be able to keep this at 150 or lower.

    Good luck. That whole process (figuring out who to invite/the invites themselves) was the biggest pain of all the planning for me. You get into "If I invite THIS person, then I have to invite THAT person, too," etc. etc. Start with everyone you can think of, then break it down into A list, B list, C list. That helped me a lot, made it much more manageble.

    Don't forget, there's no shame in making single peole come alone. Especially if they'll know plenty of others at the wedding.
