heirloom ring (again)

I added a pic of the rings as my bio picture. If you missed my original question it is this: I love my engagement ring and don't want to give it up. My fi's grandma gave us a wedding band her husband had given her, he and fi were very close. I love the sentimentality of the wedding band and it is very beautiful but it doesn't match my ring. It has been suggested to wear the e ring on my right hand but I'm not sure how I feel about that. I already know I can't have the band melted and reshaped because the local jewelers can't do that with platinum. Any other ideas?

Re: heirloom ring (again)

  • how about having 2 wedding bands.  Heirloom on your right hand the other one to match you ering.btw - I wear my wedding band on my right hand because I like my e-ring better on my left.  DH is fine with my choice

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • It's a small picture so it's hard to see what either of them look like.
  • oh and I wear my grandmother's wedding band on a necklace.
