Getting Discouraged...

I am looking to rent a house to have a tent wedding in the Sandwich area. I am having no luck! :( .......Anyone willing to give up their home for the weekend?? :)

    A friend of mine was married at The Winslow Estate in South Orleans a few years ago, I wasn't able to attend so I don't know much about costs, but the pictures sure looked beautiful.  http://www.win-estates.com/heritage.htmGood Luck!!  :]

    Hi, I was going to have a tented reception on the lawn at a rental house as well, but have decided against it.  Below is a list that I have accumulated over the last few months of doing research.  Just try googling the address and I'm sure you will come up with the infomration.  The first two houses are for rent by GMAC Realty, you can just google them and then look on the website.  I also ran across a few others on VRBO.com and one other site, which I can't remember what it was??  They were not on the water, so I didn't put them on my list, but if you don't have to have water front then I would look around because there are a few others.  Hope this list helps!Osterville554 Wianno Avenue923 Seaview Avenue Chatham36 Sears Point197 Bridge Street224 Scatteree Road Woods HoleThe Airplane House-Only small weddings(50 or less) and it's very expensive, but it is a beautiful home in the very end of a peninsula.The Crane Estate-Not the one in Ipswich, this is a private home.  I spoke with owner at the beginning of the summer and she was planning on allowing small weddings for the next year to cover the cost of the new septic system they had to put in, but since then, the house has been taken off of we need a vacation.com, I have her number if you would like? OrleansThe Captain Heman Smith House WarehamSouthwest at Little Harbor TruroTruro Adventures on Carlins WayHedgebound of Cape Cod-Not near the water but it is a beautiful house.

    My wedding planner, Connie Nye Clark of The Perfect Plan is awesome to work with and knows alot about tented receptions at private homes.  Not sure what you are looking to spend on the house but you should call her, she is in Sandwich. www.theperfect-plan.com

    I know there are a couple houses on Wings Neck in Bourne you can rent. And another in Cataumet called the Moral house.  If either are interesting I can give you more information, let me know.  Both overlook the water and are pretty cool.  I have a house in Cataumet and doing a tent and I am considering renting the site the day after my wedding.  If you are interested in June 20th or Sept 19th let me know.  Good luck.  Amy
