    Good news: FI & I are going home to PA for Thanksgiving for the first time in 3 years! I haven't been home since last June.Bad news: FI doesn't have paid days off so it's going to be less money for Christmas/bills afterwards.

    Good news: I am actually off of work today. Seems like forever since I have had a day off! Bad news: I have to go to work so that I can get a flu shot. Apparently, I am required to have them for the work that I will be doing with the astronauts and the Space Center for the launch next week. I have more, but I will wait til I get home to entertain you (not that they're really THAT entertaining, but hey- its something)

    Good news- The guys are at a show so I can slack off at work and not do so much...Bad news- When I am not running around the office like the tazmainian devil the day goes by really slow!Good news- My line of work is thriving in our bad economy.Bad news- I feel bad doing so well when so many of my friends and family are not doing well and losing their jobs.

    Good News: I have lots of relatives coming in from out of town to visit. Bad News: They're coming because someone in our family is in the hospital and was given 24 hours to live, so it's obviously not a happy visit.

    Good news: Plans are finally happening for the wedding! Huzzah! Bad news: My dog Ace, who's been in my family since I was in 6th grade, is deteriorating pretty rapidly. He's losing more and more weight every week and is so frail... my dad e-mailed me yesterday to tell me that Ace isn't in pain, but his quality of life is going downhill quickly and he doesn't want to let him suffer when he gets to that point. I cried. *sigh*

    Good news-Thanksgiving is only two weeks away, and we get to decorate for Christmas!! Bad news: Cleaning the house top-to-bottom to get ready for decorating and having to take everything down in January.

    Good news: We're going to Miami tomorrow! Bad news: We're going to Miami tomorrow! Ha.  It's always bitter sweet.  It's a long drive and we have to pack a lot of "quality time" in with the grandparents but it's hard to be able to just go do what we want to do.  And my mom always asks me to make an extra stop or two to another relative and those are never 5 minutes stops when we only see each other once or twice a year...

    Aileene - I'm SO sorry.  Truly.  We put my sisters dog down just over a week ago.  It's SO HARD.  But know that he wont be suffering anymore and he's given you the best years of his life and is looking to your family to make the best decisions for him.

    Thank you guys! Sorry, didn't mean to be such a downer. :)  Good news is that even though he is on life support, he's gone past the 24 hours they gave him, and he's not getting worse, so that's good- It's just sad because he's one of my favorite uncles and even after 20 some years of marriage, he and his wife are so lovey-dovey and haven't lost that initial infatuation with each other and I just really wish she didn't have to go through this.Alexia, Are you from Miami? I've never actally made it down there, but I've always wanted to go and I've lived here pretty much my whole life, so I have no excuse. :)

    Oh Crap. My comment about the dog was to Pretty Parula... Aileene, I was NOT comparing your Uncle to my dog!!! Sorry, I scrolled fast so both those posts looked like one to me!I'm very sorry to hear about your Uncle.And I'm originally from Miami, but consider Orlando 'home'.  I've lived here for 13 years and most of my memories are here.  Miami is fun.  But I'm kind of over it.  We're going cause we have tickets to the Dolphins game on Sunday.  Plus, I feel bad that we never visit my grandparents.

    Aw, Aileene, I'm sorry girl. That's gotta be so hard. We'll all be thinking about you and your family, I'm sure. And thanks Alexia, at least this time we'll know when it's time to let him go. With my first dog, my parents didn't tell us they were going to put him to sleep, we just came home from school one day and he was gone. So, how about another good news to change the mood? I just talked to the chaplain from Stetson (my alma mater) who's become a good friend over the years, and he's definitely free to officiate our wedding. YES!

    Alexia- No worries, I figured as much. :) Anyway, dogs are like family, too. Pretty Parula- Sorry about your dog! Mine is getting old and I'm always afraid of him getting too old and that happening to him, I know it's hard. :(Anyway, enough sadness from me! More good news/bad news!Good news- I've lost some weight and have been slowly but steadily doing so. Yay! Bad news: My fingers got smaller, too so I have to go get my ring resized again and I still have like 10 or 12 lbs to go, so I don't want to have to do it a third time later on.

    Good news:  Tomorrow is Friday !!Bad news:  Today feels like Monday cause I was out sick Mon-WedGood news:  I get to go to dinner at Boheme tomorrow night for my daddys birthday :-)Bad news:  H can't go cause he works :-(Good news:  Got 1/4 of my christmas shopping done yesterday !Bad news:  For every one thing I bought someone for christmas I bought me 2-3 things online today :-) (only reason its bad news is because all those items I bought myself added up to like $500..     Good News: 4 more weeks of school! I was offered a job this week at Bath & Body works :)Bad News: My mom has been a in a seriously stank attitude this week and it's making me upset. All she wants to do is complain about her homework and mumble stuff under her breath when ANYONE in the house says ANYTHING! And my car is giving me problems. I just hope I don't have to invest a new one quite yet :P

    Good news: I just ordered our tickets to see the Orlando Magic on Christmas Day! WOOOOHOOOOO Bad news: My arm is throbbing from my stinkin flu shot. boo. Good news: I think I convinced FI to do our wedding registry at BBB this weekend. Figured it would be a good idea since there is no OM basketball on :-) Bad News: We're gonna do it on Sunday. So, I might have to cut my time at the G2G short so that I can go do the registry.

    That makes me happy, Vedika! I really think that Mark is going to have more fun with it than he realizes. I had the opportunity to do ours a few months ago when my MOH did hers, but I decided against it, because I think Mark will have fun doing it too!! Yay!

    Good - we're going to be signing our contract for our date for the Ritz, I'm officially going to be a May 10 bride now (instead of a March 10 one)Bad - work's been really difficult this week and shows no sign of getting any easier - I cannot wait for the weekend and then Christmas holidays.TGIF tomorrow!!!xjcx

    Bad news first: I got the flu last week, and I still feel terrible! No energy whatsoever (which sucks what you work with kids) and now I'm wheezing/coughing up a storm. :( Good news: My voice is finally coming back! It's a start. More bad news: Because I'm sick, I have to miss out on my friend's bachelorette party weekend in West Palm. BOOOOOOOO! :( Good news: If I'm feeling ok, I might be able to make it to the Knottie brunch on sunday.

    Good news: I reconnected with a state employer at a UCF job fair this morning, and got some good tips about grad school from a friend of mine (in the program I want to enter) Bad news (only 1/2-bad): the Area Manager position for the blood center (that I asked vibes for this week) is not for me. Turns out I'm not a natural at it, but it's only half-bad because I know there are more fitting opportunities out there. Good news: I get to experience Thanksgiving at DH's house this year (we've gone to Auburn for Christmas the past 2) Bad news: I know my mom (who's coming with us) will be a little snarky (only to me) about the way things are done/the way people are over there. I love her anyway and I'm excited she'll finally get to see Auburn :) Gotta keep remembering that having a good relationship with my ILs is okay!

    i only have GREAT news! 1) i got a freelance gig that lasts thru december and could turn into FT work 2) DH and i get to go home to FL next week for my stepdad's 50th bday which our dear friend charisma is DOC'ing for! 3) i get to meet fellow knottie, the beautiful sarahsmiles at an art event when i'm there! (new friends + art = awesome!) an all around great month november is shaping up to be (well, for me at least LOL)!
