Hi and welcome! In the area I looked at:- Wine and Roses (Lodi)- Arden Hills (Sac)- Sequoia (Placerville)- Granite Bay Golf Course (GB)- Croatian Cultural American Center (Sac)I ended up going with the CACC because it's affordable, elegant, and just totally what I was looking for.Good luck to you! When is your wedding?

Hi there! Welcome to the area! I also looked at the Croatian Center, but I was not comfortable with the hotels in the area. The place is beautiful! You would have to make an appointment to go see it. There is a guy running the place and he is a little "strict", but he knows what he is doing. My friend had her wedding there. We are having our reception only at the Timber Creek Lodge. I love Jenny!!! They do have ceremonies there as well and I have seen one, but we are getting married somewhere else first. I did extensive research and the food was a concern, so I went with the place I felt had the best of everything (and food) for the cost. Good luck! If you can, talk to the people on the phone about their services (since it sounds like you can't meet them in person). The person running the catering office or the venue will be a large part of your wedding planning and I always felt it was important to get along with them!! Good luck!!

We are having our wedding at Arden Hills Country Club. So far we have had a great experience with the planners there (which are included with the venue) and it is stunning and surprisingly affordable. I really suggest checking it out.

Check out Catta Verdera Country Club, Lincoln. The great thing about this place is that it is all inclusive so there are no hidden costs. As for hotels, my family is planning to stay at the Thunder Valley Hotel (set to open in late summer 2010) and then have a brunch the next day in thier buffet. While the hotel option might not suit everyone's taste, they have other options. I hightly recommend this place. Britni would be your wedding coordinator and she makes sure you are stress free the day of. Check it out! It's a beautiful site!

My wedding was at the CACC and I have tons of pics in my bio (in siggy "Our Wedding").  They did have a 120 minimum for our Sunday wedding though (I think they have a 150 minimum for a Saturday wedding).  Their prices were awesome and we loved the venue and the open bar option.  It was just an ideal place for us.  Regarding hotels in the area, we stayed (and our guests stayed) at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West and it was great.  Page me here if you have any questions (or you can email me: stefaniemills at yahoo).  GL!

Someone posted about the Croation American CC and it was gorgeous. We almost picked it but I just didn't "feel it" you know? But it was really really pretty and affordable. We're getting married at the Arden Hills Resort and Spa or CC, whatever you want to call it.The Newcastle Wedding Gardens was GORGEOUS and our first choice, but we had issues with the dates, and it was a bit pricey for us. It is really beautiful
