Mediterranean Villa - Venue booked!

I LOVED this place. So beautiful and it's truly a 1 stop shop. Flowers, food, alcohol, linens, cakes and a Rolls Royce of my choice (black or white)

I am a bride who doesn't want to worry about all of the little details and I can't afford a planner so this was perfect for me!

1 thing down...5 billion to go! How do you ladies keep up :-)

They only require your $1000 Security deposit up front to hold your date and then it's 30% of the contract 30 days after. The rest does not need to be paid until 60 days prior to the wedding unless you set up a monthly payment plan like I did.

  • It took me so long to get all those things taken care of separately... jealous! And congrats!
  • We are getting married there in May. It took me so long to pick a venue. Although FI loved this place, I was skeptical because of the reviews and I also felt it would be too expensive. However after looking at several  all inclusive venues and  DIY venues, it came about to be about the same price, if not more for the DIY venues ,and trust me we did our research. In my opinion,if you have the time and effort to plan a DIY
wedding, I say go for it. We are working with Suellen and she has been great.

So are we! She is very responsive and I love that because I am kind of high maintenance and question every thing lol.

We looked at sooo many venues. Addison Event Center, Brookhaven Country Club, Stonebridge Country Club, Grand Traditions, Ruthe Jackson...about 9 in total and most of them were more expensive than MV with the exception of AEC ( I truly love their ballroom but I couldn't get over the chapel space or the lack of curb appeal). I think we made the best decision.

The one thing that I have found out since booking is that they seem to nickle and dime you for every little thing unless you put your foot down. They try to discourage you from bringing anything in from the outside which was not going to work for me. My sister-in-law owns her own linen company and it was extremely important to me to support her new business and I basically told them that if they wouldnt budge I would cancel my contract since I still had time to get a full refund and they conceded.

We will see how things go..crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

  • So what is the price range for the chapel and ballroom?
  • I'm getting married there in March and working with Suellen as well - so excited! When's your official date?!
"So what? So it's not going to be easy. It's gonna be hard.
Really hard. But I wanna do that because I want you
    - all of you, you and me, every day. Forever."
