Airbrush Tanning Recs

I'm wanting to be tan for bridals and wedding but due to my acne medication I CANNOT tan or be in the sun.  Does anyone know of a good airbrush tanning place in the KC area.  I would prefer north of the river but will drive south or over to the Kansas side. Also, do you recommend doing an exfoliate prior to the session?  I was going to try it out once before bridal portraits.

I go to Venitian Tan off North Brighton... They do an awesome spray tan...I do recommend exfoliating before because you wont want to after it will take away the color

Is it a booth spray tan or airbrush?  Does it make you orange?  I have a wedding to go to next weekend back in Dallas, so I thought about going to get the tan Thursday afternoon.  Will it still look ok Saturday evening?

kcmed:I use to work at a tannign salon and I'll give you a few tips b4 going.  We did the airbrush ourselves...the booths dont always cover everythign and can spray you darker than you want. so if you have someone do it, they are trained to do it so it looks good on you. also YES! exfoliate and shave before you go!! do not put on any lotion or deorderate b/c it will block your pores. also they usually tell you do not shower btwn 4-6 hrs afterwards b/c the tan does take that long to set. usually i go in the evening and then shower the next morning.  when you do shower, SOME of it will come off but mainly what hasn't absorbed will come off and thats a GOOD thing.  depending on how often you shower/exfoliate etc will determine the length of the spray tan, but usually it last about a week.  there are products that you can use to "help  make it last longer" but i've never used them...a week is good for me.  if you need to be tan on Friday, I say do it about Wed or Thurs. Dont do it on the day you need to be tan, b/c the color is different the first day.  hope this helps, need any more advice let me know. unfortunately i dont know any good place north of the river to go.

Thanks for the tips!  I found someone that does airbrush tanning.  I'm about to go give it a shot this morning.  I shaved and exfoliated with no lotion on.

If I like it then I will use them for the wedding day in February.
