I need help about how much alcohol to buy for wedding???

What guidelines are any brides using when you have to provide your own alcohol? it will be 5 hours, and approx 60-70 people. any help??? beer and wine are definites and also liquor.

    I have a book that tells you the recommended amount but it's at my parents house lol. But I found a drink calculator that you can use to help you, http://www.evite.com/pages/party/drink-calculator.jsp. Good luck!

    can your caterer recommend a liquor store? we used summit catering for our wedding.. they sent us to canals at the marlton circle for our alcohol. the guy there was great! we just told him how many people we were expecting and he knew exactly what we would need. really the only thing i had to decide was what kind of beer to get. they delivered it all to the hall for us the day of the wedding. we had no problems with running out of stuff ( at least that i know of!) and canals let us return any unopened bottles to get out money back. best part of doing it this way is that we also got to keep the bottles that were opened but unfinished- so we have a nicely stocked bar in our house!

    thanks guys! i havent decided on site yet for def. so i was trying to get an estimate to put into my budget. i will try that calculator!!
