Mike Staff?

Mike Staff Productions was recommended to me and I wanted to get input from anyone who is using or has used them. Are they good/professional? Expensive? Reasonable? What has your experience been so far?

Also, this might be a stupid question, but do they do lights?

Thanks so much in advance. :)

Hi :) we are using MSP for DJ and videographer. They have done my friends weddings and did a great job. Kevin Joynt is our DJ and he has been awesome to work with so far. We paid about $1200 for DJ and $1400 for videographer. I'm not sure if they do lighting. Give us an idea of you budget and what you are looking for. Also, check the vendor stickies (posts with little push pins next to them) at the top of the board for reviews on DJs and all other types of wedding-related vendors.

Mike Staff Productions is AWESOME! We are using Tim Stolkey and we just loved him! Yes they do lights, their pricing for DJ is $1295, but less if you are bundling services (photography and/or videography), and less if you are getting married in the "off season" like we are. I would highly recommend, but if that is out of your budget, I can recommend a family friend that is good too that is a bit cheaper (we just connected with Tim so much that we HAD to use him - just a personal preference, I guess)

The other dj we considered is Sean McDonnell with All Night DJs.  I think his price is like $895 or something for 6 hours.

I've heard a lot of great things from MSP but they're "pricey" for my budget. I do think they do lighting, though so that's awesome. Good luck booking them (I don't know when your wedding is but I heard they book fast since they're so popular!) [:

We are going with MSP. They are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. We got a discount because they work a lot with our reception hall.

I've heard great things about them, but when I called to get quotes, I found they were extremely unprofessional to me (terrible at returning phone calls, emails. Kept telling me the would get back to me and never did - blamed their "busy schedules" Then got an attitude when I was upfront that they were very pricey compared to my other research).  They were also outrageously expensive comparatively speaking to the other people I got quotes for.

I've been to a couple of weddings where MSP was used as the DJ service. The first was awesome- everyone on the dance floor all night and very professional. The second wasn't as good. The DJ took a lot of cigarette breaks and the dance floor was empty a good portion of the evening. It could've been the couple's choice in music, but I wouldn't want to take the chance that it was the DJ's choice in music.

I looked into MSP. They are very pricey and out of my budget. We booked Paul Taylor for $895. He is very personable, seems very professional when we meet, and he does not charges extra for lights, back up equipment, etc...
