I'm just looking for some ideas for decorations/colors for a fall wedding.. who has done an outdoor wedding in the fall? I would LOVE to hear about yours!
I will be getting married in November out at a lodge. It is SO pretty with tons of trees and a beautiful wooden arch area, this is where the ceremony will take place.
I will most likely be picking out BM's dresses when I pick out mine which will be in the next month or two and I have no idea what color I want to go with!! I don't want the dresses to be "too dark" with the background.
For flowers, I definitely want something fall and bright but not too orange-ish because I want to use a lot of pumpkins for the reception!
TIA everyone!!
Re: Outdoor, Fall Wedding?
I had black/ivory dresses and accents for my outdoor fall wedding and I had no flowers, which is not what you are looking for, but you may get some ideas for other decor and reception decoration from my bio. There are tons of pics and hopefully you'll get some ideas from there. Good luck!

My inspiration was the concept of a fall picnic. Bridesmaid dresses were a deep red. We decided on sunflowers as the main flowers. I also found deep red lanterns to serve as an alternative centerpiece. (They were markedly cheaper than our flower centerpieces.) Linens were a mix of reds, yellows and browns.
My bouquet was a mix of sunflowers, rust calla lilies, orange juice roses and hypericum berries.
Not-so-typical fall table setting
I am too having a fall wedding (10.16.10) and I had a "problem" deciding on colors as well. Most fall bridesmaids dresses I've seen are brown, tan, orange or red, and I wanted something different. So I chose a pretty blue. (between cobalt and navy) I really think this will POP against the fall backdrop. My flowers will be a mix of red, orange, yellow and even some purple. (which btw I LOVE Mutleys flower choice!!!) Our centerpieces will be in aqua mason jars (which my grandmother gave me) and my table runners will be burlap over white linens with either blue, orange or tan napkins (I can't decide!)
I've also decided to use mums during the ceremony since they are so inexpensive! Also using hay, pumpkins and more mums for decorative pieces.....
