Pros: I really work in a great office with great people.  They don't pick at your for doctor's appointments, I can bring my dogs to work, Robert comes by and brings me coffee, very casual and relaxed atmosphere. Cons: I'm kinda over it.  I don't feel like I'm stimulating my brain anymore and I'm just tired of being here and I don't want to take it for granted but feel like I'm headed in that direction.

Registered Medical Asst- Gyn Pros:  I get to learn a lot from some of the docs I work.  they're always more than happy to teach.  also, they are super flexable whenever I need to take off.  never any questioning my reasons. cons:  they try to act like one big happy family.  sometimes it works, but most of the time this just creates problems.  for instance, we have a mother/daughter that works here and they drive together.  for the past 4-6weeks the daughter has been clocking the mom in, and the mom has been sleeping in the car for about 45-60mins in the car before coming in!! unbelievable!  and all they got was a slap on the wrist! ugh!

Admin for Bentley, Lamborghini & Rolls-Royce.Pros: meeting rich/famous/wonderful/surprisingly humble people. Riding in cars I probably could never afford. getting paid to attend parties/shows. weekends off. networking opportunities.Cons: no chance for promotion/change. Boss who curses and screams for no reason (like the fact that sharpies are $2) in front of CWs and customers. not many days off. slow times in bad economy

Pros- I love helping people. I only work 3 nights a week.Cons- I have to work every other weekend and some holidays (I have to work Christmas this year, and I was supposed to work Thanksgiving until my mom got sick and my boss gave me it off).  When parents get frustrated (even if it's at the doctor), they take it out on the nurse.  Everything is the nurse's fault.  Your pillow isn't fluffy enough? Nurse's fault.  Your meal didn't arrive on time? Nurse's fault.  I also hate that some doctors treat nurses like we are there to serve them and that we are stupid.  Umm, I have my Bachelor's Degree and I am going to grad school at an Ivy League Institution and I have a 4.0.  Where did YOU go to med school?

I teach Biology for Florida Virtual School! Pros: Very flexible schedule so I can be there for Kira and volunteer at her school, not worry about missing work when she's sick, etc. Not having to deal with the red tape/paperwork/mind-numbing meetings/stupid intiatives/rude kids/fights, drugs, or drama at a brick & mortar school. :D Getting to sleep until the sun comes up if I want to. Having kids and parents who appreciate every little thing I do for them. NOT BEING STRESSED ALL THE TIME. It's amazing! Cons: It's definitely a round-the-clock job and there is no such thing as "done" so I'm probably not spending that much more time with Kira and FI than I was at my old job. I get kinda stir-crazy sometimes and slack just because I need sunshine and socialisation. People think that because I work from home that I have all the time in the world and I so don't.

Work for a company that buys and sells rare US coins and also trades bullion. Pros- Work 9-5, know how to do my job very well and my boss tells me how much he appreiciates me offten, flexiable if I have to come in late/leave early, boss goes out of his way to reward us with bonuses, magic tickets, dinners, ect. Cons- 45-1hr commute both ways, sometimes I have to work late when bosses are too busy to get the stuff done that I need to finish and my job is directly effected by theirs.

I am a Medical Technologist (I run tests on blood work and other "bodily functions" Pro: This is the first weekend for it, but my job just won a contract with the Space Center, and I get to have interaction with the astronauts and set up a lab at the Space Center for the rest of the launches. Im pretty stoked about it. Also- I work 3-12 hour days. So, I have 4 days off a week. My schedule is also pretty flexible so that if I need a day off, it's easy to switch with a co worker. Con: There are oh-so-many. I go through spurts where I like my job and then spurts where I hate my job. I like my job right now. I think the biggest con about my job is that I know too much. I am so flexible and can work in so many different departments that its not good. People KNOW of my "skills" and they take advantage of them, and of the fact that I really don't know how to say no.

Ashley my parents are both med techs too! They're in hospital labs, though. I hear some good stories about the weird crap they find in people sometimes... my mom got the biggest dang hookworm I've ever seen a few years ago! Nice to meet another med tech. Seems like you're a rare breed these days.

teacher for 3/4 year olds in a day care- pro:i don't have to do any sales-i get weekends off-and the kids can be really sweet and when they learn something it is really rewarding--those are the only pros i can think of... cons: 45min-1 hour commute, horrible pay, thankless job, seen as just a babysitter and there is so much more than that, on feet all day, don't get summers off or any holidays besides thanksgiving and christmas, lots of red tape, ridiculous rules and standards we need to follow, need to clock out for my break but usually always have to work off the clock, our day care is so poor-everything comes out of our pockets... sorry just had an incident at work today that has put me in a horrible mood!

I am currently working at a local clothing boutique in downtown Melbourne. Pros - Its a fun area to work in (lots of art festivals and stuff happening all the time), I'm at least working full time, and its only a 10 minute drive from my apartment. Cons - Having a college degree, I would like to be making at LEAST double what I'm making there now, It's NOT challenging whatsoever, management is incredibly unorganized, and I'm tired of helping old ladies change in the fitting rooms...if I have to see one more half naked old lady I'm going to BARF!

I'm tired of helping old ladies change in the fitting rooms...if I have to see one more half naked old lady I'm going to BARF!:( I know how that is, and it sucks! I used to work at GAP Body, and people would come in and bare all to me. Then they would ask for a bra fitting, so I'd have to measure them like that.

blegh!! its terrible!! sometimes they don't even close the fitting room curtain while they're trying things on! do people really not care who is seeing them half naked? crazy.
