Belly Bands??

I like the look of them, but I am not sure how to make them. Has anyone made their own?  What do you make them out of?  Do you glue them onto the invite?  Any info would be great. TIA!!

    until you said invite, I thought you were talking about a) those ridiculous "work out machines" they sell on TV that just magically shrink your abs; or b) the oh-so-wonderful stretchy bands they offer to prego women to enable the huge belly to still fit in clothes otherwise unacceptable to the growth ...sorry no advice on DIY belly bands (for invites)

    my invites had them, the invitation lady made them, and I think she used a glue dot or something that

    You can make them in several ways. You can cut your own card stock and use a glue dot to close them. The glue dot will provide a temporary stick on the band though. I'm using a satin ribbon and a cardstock square where the band will close that has our monogram on it.
