Favorite Dip / Recipe

I know this was asked awhile ago but I can't find the thread (thanks for the awesome search tool, TK) -- what is your favorite dip? Recipes too please! I need a new dip to take to our tailgate tomorrow!

Re: Favorite Dip / Recipe

  • I have to jump on the dani train here and say.... BEER DIP!!!! It really is that awesome. Take pretzels to dip.
  • 1 small bottle of green olives, drained 1 block of cream cheese, softened Blend until olives are small and chunky and serve with Ritz crackers. AMAZING.
  • Georgia can you explain what is so awesome about the beer dip, what does it taste like?
  • Nebb, it sort of tastes like a cheesy Ranch dip, but with a subtle beer under layer, and if you eat it along with pretzels and your fave beer, it is delish. I've only made it once, but that's just because I haven;t had a reason since other than to just sit and eat the whole bowl.
  • Buffalo chicken dip3 chicken breasts 1 block of softened cream cheese1 bottle of lite bleu cheese 1/2 - 3/4 bottle of Buffalo Sauce Shredded Cheddar cheese to sprinkle on topDirections:Boil the chicken breasts on med. low temp for 20 mins. The water should be at a simmer. When the chicken is ready it should be slightly tender so you can shred it with a fork.Once the chicken is shredded, add all the ingredients except the cheddar and mix it all together.Pour into a dish and bake for 20 min. or until the cheese has melted at 350 degrees.

  • Bec, I never knew anyone else who knew of the awesomeness of cream cheese and olives besides my mom and me. I make it as a sandwich spread.Have you tried cream cheese and shredded carrots with a touch of salt? That's really good, too. I made some last week.My two favorites need to be baked beforehand, so they won't do you any good (reuben dip and onion dip).Do you like the spinach/Knorr vegetable soup dip?

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • What's the Knorr's veggie soup dip? I'll definitely try the beer dip recipe. The buffalo chicken dip is a favorite -- but I've already done that for a couple of the games this season...
  • This thread is making me hungry.  I love dip!I second the Knorr spinach dip made with the veggie soup stuff.

  • The beer dip I made was really really salty. Some people loved it, but it was a little too salty for me to really enjoy it. Mine the powdered ranch dressing in it too, maybe that's why? And hardly any beer. It really tasted like a thick ranch more than anything.
  • This spinach artichoke dip:http://www.cosmopolitan.com/sex-love/relationship-advice/katie-lee-joel-recipes-2I use low-fat cream cheese, etc, to make it a little less guilt-inducing. Maybe not great for traveling, unless you have a mini travel crockpot. But really good, anyway.

  • The knorr veggie soup way of making spinach dip is the only way I can eat it, my mom always made it that way. Big chunks of rye bread, mmmmmm!
  • That's the thread I was looking for! Thanks!
  • My mom makes a good dip, with cream cheese, dried beef, and green onions.  Chill in fridge, eat with Ritz.  Mmmmm.....
  • Here's the Knorr's Vegetable Spinach Dip recipe. I don't use Miracle Whip; I use regular mayonnaise (well, to be specific, I use Duke's, but you are only going to find that in specific markets).  The soup is a dried soup, and is in the aisle where canned soups and boullions are. The box is yellow and green. The recipe is also on the box.Knorr Spinach Dip (from cooks.com) 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach1 1/2 c. sour cream1 c. Miracle Whip1 pkg. Knorr vegetable soup & recipe mix8 oz. can water chestnuts (opt.)3 green onions Thaw and squeeze spinach until dry. In blender, chop and blend all ingredients well. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Stir before serving. This is a dip that even people who don't like spinach, like this dip. Note: This is the original recipe, but some people don't like it prepared with Miracle Whip. You might want to try it with regular Mayo instead.

  • A little late, but I make this for all GTGs and it's usually gone! 2 blocks of cream cheese milk onion salt garlic salt Cream cheese and add milk to make into a whipped dip. Add onion salt and garlic salt to taste. Serve with ruffles. So easy, yummy, and not good for you.
