POLL: TK & Your FI

Amer's comment in the previous post got me thinking...I'm curious to see how many of you typically talk to your FI about happenings or posts on TK?To be honest, I've never done this. Occaisionally FI will ask me about new friends on FB (and subsequently sarcastically roll his eyes when I tell him they're from TK) :]

If it is good and involves people he met in real life, then yes. I will also repeat stories of particular stupidity. Kind of like if something dumb went down at my office.

ditto amy. I only tell him funny stories, other than that he wouldn't care, and most likely not even listen to me when I talk about wedding stuff in general.

I'm guilty of referencing my inquiry posts from TK - "Hey, so I asked people on TK about _____ & they suggested...", haha.

JEGs posts a lot on car message boards so we tend to swap stories about other posters- usually only the crazy posts. He is pretty active in the wedding planning so he is appreciating all the rec's just as much as I am! When talking about our photographers, he even asked if they were suggested from TK. To which I replies... yess. I didn't pull their names out of thin air

true story: the pronunciation of virgin in scottish is something liek "weergin". well, it might not be but with my scottish accent it gets a lot of laughs. So yeah, I talk about TK.:)

My FI used to get really mad at me because I would say "Um your wrong, the ladies on the knot said we have to ____" and he would respond with "The knot is not the wedding bible" and then he threatened to ban me one day because I was upset over a knot fight. He thinks its ridiculous.

I would mostly only mention it to reference things like "I asked the girls on the knot and they recommend we do blah blah blah" when it came to wedding decisions. I didn't get into drama/personal stuff with him. And he knows I met a couple girls from here - so whenever we'd go out I'd say "I'm going for drinks w/ the girls from online to talk about wedding stuff"

I'm pretty late on this but I don't get to go on while at work...I thought this post was interesting. I don't talk about TK too much with FI. Maybe if I see a great idea I'll let him know and sometimes I tell him when people go crazy on a post b/c i tend to find it funny. Otherwise, I think he gets kind of jealous

because I do a lot of wedding planning late at night and he gets mad that I'm on here looking at flowers/dresses or whatever when I probably should be in bed lol. I am out of the house 8am-7pm so that's really the only opportunity I get.

I'll share crazy posts with him that he might find interesting, but otherwise like PP he will look over my shoulder, say "oh, bridal stuff" and keep on walking. This will be his second marriage, so sometimes he has a "been there, done that, tell me when and where to show up and I'll be there" frame of mind. But he's still excited to marry me as I am excited to marry him!
