So, you've purchased your wedding dress... but how are you storing it? I'm so nervous that it is going to get discolored because of the length of time that I have to keep it stored.

How are you doing it?

I'm a little worried about it too. I'll be getting mine home in October... my parents have a big closet that doesn't have much in it- I think I'm going to store it in there. Don't they come in a nice dress bag?

I will be keeping it in the walk in closet I have (had?) at my parents house. It should come nicely bagged. Originally we were debating between Sept 2012 and spring 2013, which is part of the reason I shopped so early.

Yeah, I got my dress from david's bridal and it came in this white zip-up bag. They told me it would be fine in that bag, I'm just nervous. I've had it since August but I might have to exchange it because I'm losing weight (Yay!) and have already lost 2 dress sizes. I will probably need to go down 4 more dress sizes by the time I'm done, so they will reorder another size for me.

I'm keeping it in my dad's closet right now, and I think it should be fine.

I bought mine but it hasn't come in yet. The store I bought it at said I could keep it there if I wanted. I plan on doing that and getting everything in writting just in case.

You are so LUCKY. I would have done this if I could, but they don't keep dresses there.

Mymissing- I got mine at Davids also. I had to buy the white bagt. I was hoping it would be plastic but its not. They did say it should be fine. Im storing it in my daughters closet as its a walk in. Although I hung it up in my sons room the other day to clean their closet out.

I just ordered mine so It wont be in till october, but the bridal salon I got if from keeps it till a week or so before the wedding.

I have mine I also stored it in a bag in a closet at my dad's house... I have had it for awhile now... I check on it often to make sure nothing is wrong with it...

I got a garment bag for mine from DB and it's beig stored in a closet at my parents' house that doesn't have a lot in it since they recommended air flow. It doesn't look any different than when I tried it on at the store a year ago :-)

Mine is in a closet at my parent's house. The only thing I worry about is since its a big ball gown, that it will look smushed and not as big since itll be in that garment bag for over a year.
