yep the auction is taking place at the Sheraton Towers in the City at 10am. From what it looks like registration is closed but you can bid online live...http://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=23422 I dont know how this works but does the $$ go back to him, the state or the victims?

    CNN said the $$ is going to the victims. The diamond drop earrings and emerald bracelet once owned by Ruth Madoff are like wow!

    My MOH's dad was a victim... they lost everything.  PLus he worked there so he lost his job and no one will hire him madoff on his resume... and he had been there forever so he doesnt really have anything else... it sucks. I hope that money goes to the victims.

    I heard that the money is going to the victims - which it definitely should!  Although, the money from the auction won't even come close to making up how much people lost.
