If you've been around a while, you may have heard that The Knot has been planning to re-vamp the boards. Well, now they are in the final testing phase, and the new board layout could launch as early as next week. Many of the changes have been requested by knotties, so they should be bringing some user-friendly changes. Here are some of the things you can expect:1. Collapsible Knot TV2. Ability to sort the posts by most recent reply, rather than most recent discussion 3. Polls with voting buttons4. A new and improved search function5. Private messaging to knotties--you'll no longer have to ask people to post their email address6. Threads can't be DDed if anyone has responded. However, you can edit posts and responses.7. EmoticonsIf you've ventured over to The Nest or The Bump, you'll notice that the new Knot format is similar to their formats. Mods have early access to the new layout that began yesterday, so if you have questions, let me know, and I'll try to answer them best that I can. I really like the new layout; after a year of marriage I've finally been venturing over to the Nest some and really liked some of their features (editing, polls, emoticons, etc.). Like over there, you'll be able to see how many posts a Knottie has and their ranking (newbie, gold poster, etc), and what day they joined the community.
