Barn/Rustic Wedding in MA

Hello!

My fiance and I are starting to plan our wedding and we would like to do it in Massachusetts, where we're both from.  We haven't been in MA for over a decade and currently live in New York, so we're not familiar at all with wedding venues in MA.  We are looking for a rustic venue, with space to have a ceremony and hopefully a barn for the reception.  We're only going to have 50-60 people and would like to keep it within a low-cost budget.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I'd really appreciate any guidance or recommendations of beautiful rustic places that are reasonably priced anywhere in MA.  Thanks a lot!

    I'm getting married at Zuka's Hilltop Barn in Spencer, MA this July.  I highly recommend it.  Everyone there is fantastic, and the place is beautiful!

    Nashoba Winery in Bolton would be able to accomadate your small wedding.  It's nice and worth a look.

    Another option is the Publick House in Sturbridge.  For 50 to 60 people, their ballroom might be a little large, but they might be able to accomodate you with another room.  Our wedding was there and we had our original guest list of 60 people, the room would have looked very sparse.

    Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm is the most authentic rustic barn closest to Boston. Its on Peabody MA about 20 minutes north. One of the knotties has hers up in the Real weddings section on the knot.
