Using Aqua blue and Red

I am having to plan most of my wedding by myself (fiance just got transferred across the country!). I decided that I would like to use either a tiffany or aqua blue with a cream or white. I asked my fiance what bold accent color he would like. He strongly said that he would like red. I want to keep him happy but I'm not really one for style. How could I possibly use Aqua and Red together and not make it awkward? Ideas please!!!!

I think TLV used these colors and it turned out really well. One of my top color choices was turquoise and red, but DH vetoed that one.
