How was your weekend?

Mine was interesting. There was a lot of thunder and lightning here this weekend.  Not normal for us.  We still did all the trips and I got wet a few times, but nothing bad.  Everyone tipped bad though.  Really $7 on a $170 tab.  Oh and that is to be split 3 ways.  I saw nipples on 2 different women.  The male crew were bummed I was 'flashed' instead of them.  One of them was the bad tipper.  Next time I will just let her walk around showing nipple.  PSA: make sure your bathing suit top is tied correctly so you do not flash crew members.The 90 year old father of our friends was sharing with us t his sex life.  He explain how he has to be careful these day," because you know that HIV thing is out there".    Ok...Anything interesting happen to you this weekend?

  • Nothing interesting, really. Although, I did play drinking games with my brothers and their significant others on Friday. We played three man and someone got to make a rule. They chose that you couldn't use any names, or you had to drink. Love is a Battlefield came on. As a ploy to get my brother to say a name, I said, GEEZ, who sings this song, I can't remember... Straight faced he said "Stat Benfromfar" And that was ridiculously hilarious to me.

  • Nothing interesting, but it was a good weekend nonetheless. Got all of the leaves blown off the deck with the leafblower before it crapped out. Had to sweep the driveway, so I'm REALLY sore this morning (coupled with the fact that I forgot to take my arthritis medicine for the second morning in a row.) I did make the MOST AWESOME chocolate hazelnut mousse last night, so there is that.
  • Friday night we ordered Chinese and relaxed at home. Saturday I helped his dad move into his new place. My legs are still killing me from all the stairs (2 sets to get up, then a set inside). He moved from a 4 bedroom house w/a basement to a 2 level, 2 bedroom condo. It'll be better for him but he still has a lot of stuff to either get rid of or put in storage.Saturday night J & I went to dinner with Tide & Kate. We had a blast. :)Sunday, while J was hanging with his dad, I went to the Redskins game with my MIL & SIL. It was so much fun. My first NFL game ever, and we won. Go figure! Today I am recovering. My whole body aches from all this walking the past two days.
  • Mine kind of sucked, I felt sick most of saturday, ended up staying up way too late drinking with my husband (4:30am, good lord), slept in until after 12 yesterday and the most productive thing I did all day was go to michaels and edit some photos im giving as a christmas gift. I want to go back to bed right now.
  • scoetto - thought of you when I heard the Redskins won.  How cool your first NFL game and you get a win.

  • Morning ladies. Nothing really interesting happened. Not a bad weekend, just kind of uneventful.
  • Scoetto, I'm jealous of your weekend. GTG with Tide and Kate, AND going to an NFL game? Too much fun.
  • Lynda I can't believe they don't add the tip to the bill automatically.  The last boat H worked on, right on the charter booking agency's website it said that a 20% tip would be added.  And then they may or may not get tipped on top of that if the guests were happy.

  • Had a pretty good weekend - went on a field trip to Baltimore on Saturday and saw lots of nineteenth-century workers' housing, which was cool. Also enjoyed hanging out with the people from my class.Sunday I crossed some things off my exam list (always a plus) and then saw Precious (really effing depressing), and then pretty much finished my Christmas shopping except for the few things I need to buy online and/or make myself. I'm feeling pretty good about it all.Today I have to go up to Princeton to have lunch with this guy my dad wants me to meet, a professor of astrophysics who is the head of the group on Second Life that my dad has been patronizing. Can't say I'm necessarily looking forward to it...

    Our Story MAJORLY UPDATED 8/6/09
Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • Lynda, Sara, it was a ton of fun! I seriously went into that game expecting a loss. What a fan right? Well, look at the track record! My MIL said "we're gonna win" and she was right. She was off on the score but she was right. Tide and Kate were awesome dinner dates :) I even got DH to come along and they listened to his stories. That was sweet.
  • Mine was decent with specs of greatness :)  Decent -- got my house cleaned up a bit, tied up some loose ends on my to do list.  Greatness -- I had a wonderful time with Sco & DH, and Tide! Oh and last night I made a big pot of yummy chili to eat since I work late all this week, and FI comes home for 10 days on Thursday!
  • aMrsin09 - if it's a private trip then it's automatic.  Other than that it's a the guests discretion.  You can be fired for even mentioning a tip.  Most of the time we do well.  Especially on a trip like tonights.  But sometimes you get stiffed, comes with the territory.

  • It was nice. I got the whole house cleaned and it looks awesome, which is good b/c I'm hosting my book club tonight. I'm a little pissy at DH though. He *never* does any cleaning. And we're both total slobs usually, so I don't hold it against him. It's not worth going in to the details, but I'm getting the distinct impression that he thinks keeping the place clean is somehow my responsibility.
  • Kind of crappy.  Haven't had a day off in over two months.  I worked all weekend and when I wasn't working I was doing homework.  I can't wait to move to Cali in January and not have to work two jobs anymore!

  • My weekend was okay.  I did homework.  I did lots and lots of homework.  I haven't done as much as I should have, but I did a lot.  Now I have 3 days to survive until I go to my parents house for a week.
