Sorry guys still on the photographer dilemma!

. My budget is $3000.00 can anyone reccomend any photographer that works within this budget. Has a second shooter, includes engagement pictures and an album? I really like Jason Rhee, but his fee for a second shooter is $750 that bring my budget over!

We're using Jennifer Boyle and she should be near that budget with a second shooter- just not sure if that'd include an album. I think she included a $400 album credit with our package.

You can always order an album online after you get your pictures- always make sure you get the rights to your pics

My photographer Chris Mastilia www.photocm.com offers a $3k package for complete full day coverage with 2 photographers (the 2nd one isnt an assistant either). Its more for an album, but he gives you ALL of your photo proofs and high resolution disks, so you can easily make your own as well.

i think maybe you are asking a lot for your budget. My photog, which was a husband and wife team, since divorced but working together is 3k for albums (2 parent 1 for us), 2 shoots, all day coverage but no e-pics. Semenick Photography. Since I spoke to him a few weeks ago he reassured my original decision that I am glad I chose them. Very professional and very kind.

I would think about doing your album afterwards (and paying for it maybe with money you got as wedding gifts) too. Like others said, I think you're asking for too much for too little, and so you're going to end up with very few options. Remember that photographers need to work on the day of the wedding (let's say at least 10 hours), have probably 10 hours of work to do afterwards on the photos (someone correct me if that isn't reasonable), and have lots of overhead (they have to own expensive equipment and software, liability insurance, etc.). Adding in engagement photos and an album (and I know albums vary in price, but some albums cost more than $3000, and at any rate professional ones are costly), you're expecting a photographer to barely make a profit.

Taking out the second shooter and/or the album, or cutting elsewhere to add to your photography budget, would help.

My wife and I used Semenick photography for our wedding in June 2009. Please do not use them - we have been asking them since July for our layouts and they will not return phone calls or respond to e-mails over the past 4 months. They come across nice but are totally unprofessional - we are looking to seek counsel because they have produced nothing for us.
